* Why I Hate December ... to be continued.

Already, even before Thanksgiving!


1. My movie channels are full of Christmas garbage, sickly sweet junk unconnected to real life.

2. Radio stations play Christmas music, if you call that "music." I do not.

3. The shelves that I frequent at Home Depot have Christmas junk on them instead of the items I need.

4. Christmas is everywhere. Why does it overwhelm everything including other holidays:

December 5 - Hanukkah* (Jewish)

December 22 - Winter Solstice (Dec 22-Mar 20)

December 26 - Kwanzaa (African-American - Dec. 26, 2005 - Jan 1, 2006)

5. Many people assume that I celebrate Christmas.

6. Christmas is supposedly a religious holiday. Religion should be private and not stuffed down the throats of those who don't want it.

7. TV and radio news is crammed with Christmas hints and recipes to help "you" enjoy "your" holiday even if you want nothing to do with it.
